Abstract
In the literature, the use of mathematical models has been proposed to predict efficiency, highlighting the importance of studying photovoltaic panels, depending on atmospheric conditions. Here correlation equations are established for; efficiency, open circuit voltage, and short circuit current. The equations are established as a function of irradiance and ambient temperature. It was found that the prediction gives better results by combining the open circuit voltage equation with the short circuit current equation, compared to the efficiency equation established by direct correlation. To establish the correlation, the multiple linear regression method is used from measurements at peak times. The open-circuit voltage correlation equation, in combination with the short-circuit current measurements, was shown to agree very well with the measured efficiency.
Keywords: Efficiency, Irradiance, Photovoltaic panel.
