Abstract
Environmental factors determine the production of electrical energy with solar panels and their characteristic is that they cannot be controlled. In this paper we seek to study the temperature of the panel as a function of solar radiation and wind speed. It is also sought to study the influence they have on the efficiency of the solar panel; temperature, solar radiation, wind speed, and air humidity. For developing this paper, the download of environmental data from a database is considered and measurements are made at the location being studied as well. The results provide proof that the wind causes the reduction of the panel temperature and that when solar radiation increases, the short-circuit current constantly increases. This study allows determining this region´s potential as well as evaluating the feasibility of solar energy-related projects.
Keywords: Efficiency, irradiance, solar panel.
