La investigación se basa en el problema multifactorial del abandono escolar de los estudiantes de nivel superior. Actualmente se ha convertido en una de las prioridades de las instituciones debido a las repercusiones educativas, económicas y socioculturales que se generan. Por lo cual se propuso un prototipo que permite predecir de manera temprana a los estudiantes que se encuentran en riesgo de abandonar sus estudios utilizando un análisis estadístico de Minería de Datos, una vez detectados, poder tomar decisiones en cuanto a qué tipo de apoyo o intervención requiere cada uno de ellos, para impedir el abandono, o bien, reducirlo y retener a los estudiantes en la institución. Finalmente, habiendo realizado diferentes pruebas experimentales, en el Tecnológico Nacional de México en Roque en la carrera de Tecnología de la Información y Comunicación se lograron resultados con las metodologías y algoritmos propuestos que describen el perfil de abandono en la Institución.

PROTOTYPE OF DATA MINING IN THE TIMELY DETECTION OF STUDENTS AT RISK OF DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL GUIDANCE (COMPREHENSIVE UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT OF ABANDONMENT)
Abstract
The investigation is based on the multifactorial problem of school dropout of upper level students. Currently, it has become one of the priorities of the institutions due to the educational, economic and socio-cultural repercussions that are generated. Therefore, a prototype was proposed that allows early prediction of students who are at risk of leaving their studies using a statistical analysis of data mining, once detected, to make decisions as to what type of support or intervention it requires each one of them, to prevent the abandonment, or, to reduce it and to retain the students in the institution. Finally, having carried out different experimental tests, at the National Technological University of Mexico in Roque, in the Information and Communication Technology career, results were obtained with the proposed methodologies and algorithms that describe the abandonment profile in the Institution.
