Abstract
Growing concern about the manufacturing industry's environmental impact has driven the adoption of methodologies that integrate operational efficiency with sustainability. This study evaluates the implementation of the Lean Green method in various manufacturing industries and its impact on carbon footprint reduction. Through a comparative analysis, challenges and benefits are identified, considering indicators such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and greenhouse gas emissions. The results demonstrate the potential of Lean Green for linear production and sustainability, although methodological limitations and the need for standardized metrics are highlighted. This paper systematizes recent evidence on Lean Green in the industry, identifying gaps in the standardization of indicators and offering a comparative framework that guides future research.
Keywords: Carbon footprint, Green Lean, Industry, Kaizen.
