Abstract
Project-based learning (PBL) is an active pedagogical approach that fosters key soft skills such as teamwork, effective communication, and problem-solving, which are essential in higher education. This article presents a bibliometric analysis of PBL and its impact on soft skills development, highlighting its growing relevance in academic literature. 815 documents from the Scopus database, published between 1992 and 2024, were analyzed, classifying the information by author, country, journals, and organizations to identify main trends and themes. An introduction, a methods section considering the search criteria, a results section presenting bibliometric indicators on PBL, strategies with students and higher education, a discussion section with the analysis of findings, and conclusions are included.
Keywords: Project-based learning, higher education, bibliometric analysis.
