La tutoría dentro del Departamento de Ciencias Económico Administrativas (DCEA) es una de las funciones más importantes ya que busca disminuir los índices de rezago y deserción estudiantil, además de abordar temas de ámbito académico que sean de utilidad para el desarrollo de los alumnos. Sin embargo, la carga de trabajo docente por el aumento de la matrícula ha motivado el replanteamiento del Plan de Acción Tutorial (PAT) con el propósito de optimizar las actividades sin disminuir la calidad del servicio.
El primer paso fue la evaluación del PAT a través de un focus group con un grupo representativo de alumnos donde se plantearon preguntas clave por medio de las cuales los participantes pudieron externar sus inquietudes y sus sugerencias. Una vez analizados los datos obtenidos en la sesión, se diseñó un curso para tutores donde se desarrollaron los temas que sería implementados, considerando que las temáticas fueran de acuerdo con las necesidades que tienen los alumnos según el semestre que están cursando.
De esta manera se rediseñó el PAT del DCEA, ofreciendo una tutoría grupal totalmente definida y estructurada para atender las inquietudes propias de cada etapa de la trayectoria académica a través de un proceso eficaz y eficiente.

Abstract
Tutoring within the Department of Economic-Administrative Sciences (DCEA in spanish) is one of the most important functions since it seeks to reduce the rates of student lag and dropout, in addition to addressing academic issues that are useful for the development of students. However, the teaching workload due to the increase in enrollment has motivated the rethinking of the Tutorial Action Plan (PAT in spanish) with the purpose of optimizing the activities without diminishing the quality of the service.
The first step was the evaluation of the PAT through a focus group with a representative group of students where key questions were raised through which the participants were able to express their concerns and suggestions. Once the data obtained in the session had been analyzed, a course for tutors was designed where the topics that would be implemented were developed, considering that the topics were in accordance with the needs of the students according to the semester they are studying.
In this way, the DCEA PAT was redesigned, offering a fully defined and structured group tutoring to address the concerns of each stage of the academic career through an effective and efficient process.
