Abstract

Digital transformation has profoundly reshaped higher education, positioning technopedagogy as a strategic framework for integrating technology with strong pedagogical, ethical, and critical foundations. This article examines technopedagogy in the Mexican higher education context, with particular attention to the integration of artificial intelligence and its implications for academic integrity, equity, and faculty development. Through a theoretical and reflective approach, the study discusses existing technological and training gaps and proposes guiding principles, including critical thinking, ethical evaluation of digital tools, active and collaborative learning, and formative assessment. It concludes that a coherent technopedagogical integration toward 2050 can strengthen educational quality and inclusiveness.
